Just after it turned 00:00, perhaps 10 minutes into the new year's first night, it started snowing. It's quarter to three, I'm up tonight doing some last minute-ish work on an essay for one of my classes, and it's still snowing. Ankle deep outside, so quiet now after the fireworks across Bosporus and then the marvel of neighbours at the snow (last few winters of Istanbul have lacked snow mostly).

Made some soup to sip on while looking for papers and chapters on witchcraft and printing press. Some stuff out there making a causal link, making my job easier with the term paper essay, which will now need to be something that explains the history, and discusses these sources I found and anything else potentially relevant, and then makes a conclusion. I've until 23:59 of 2nd of January, but I've an exam on that day and another appointment, so I'd rather be done with it tomorrow midnight.

Pleasant way to begin the new year all things considered. Bit procrastinatey, but well, isn't that the case always. Absolutely chuffed that it began snowing, that's a beautiful gift.
